Barangay Management System

Barangay Management System (BMS) is a complete, plain-PHP/MySQL web app for Philippine barangay offices and IT students. It centralizes resident/household profiling, barangay officials, blotter/incident logging, and document requests (clearance, indigency, residency) in a Bootstrap 5 interface that runs on XAMPP (Windows) or LAMP (Ubuntu).

Staff use role-based access (admin, staff, readonly) to manage records, track document statuses (“pending/received/processing/available/released/cancelled”), and print templated certificates. A public self-service portal lets residents request documents, choose payment via QRPH/GCash or pay upon pickup, and check request status using their Request No.; the flow is protected by CSRF tokens, rate limiting, and rotating math captchas to deter bots. Payment settings (API key, Device ID, ReturnUrl) and document numbering templates are configurable in the admin Settings area, and the codebase is well-commented for easy customization.
